Spring Grove in the Spring: What to Expect
Springtime is one of the most beautiful seasons here at Spring Grove. Our historic cemetery comes alive thanks to longer days, flowers in bloom, and lots of birdsong. We welcome thousands of visitors to Spring Grove each year, and spring is an ideal time to visit. Our dedicated staff members serve our neighbors throughout Hamilton County with high-quality burial, funeral, and cremation services. Before they decide to trust Spring Grove with their loved one’s final tribute, we encourage every family to take a tour of our manicured grounds. There’s no better time than now to visit Spring Grove.
Spring Grove Cemetery
Since 1845, we have served Cincinnati families in their time of need. The cemetery is home to hundreds of undeveloped acres and many peaceful green spaces for rest and reflection. Winding pathways, tranquil lakes, and majestic trees create a serene atmosphere and a harmonious place to lay a loved one to rest.
Spring Grove Arboretum
Our Arboretum features flowers, trees, and shrubs, each one placed with the intention that they will continue to thrive here for future generations. Our horticultural team continues the tradition of environmental sustainability and developing gardens that connect plants and people. When you visit the Arboretum, you’ll see tree species originating from all over the world, including the Sicilian Fir, the Cedar of Lebanon, and the Oriental Spruce. Spring is a wonderful time to explore the delights of the Arboretum and experience the natural beauty of Cincinnati.
Springtime Events
Now that the weather’s warm, gathering with others outdoors feels necessary and rejuvenating. Spring Grove hosts a variety of events in the spring, including 5K races, twilight walking tours, and Arbor Day activities. Each spring, Spring Grove Cemetery and the Arboretum plant more than 23,000 tulips. At the end of April, volunteers are invited to join the Spring Grove horticultural staff in digging up these gorgeous blooms.
