Dog Day of Summer 2025
Historic Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum is excited to present our Annual Dog Day of Summer Event on Sunday, June 22, 2025. For 364 days of the year the cemetery does not permit dog owners to share the beauty of Spring Grove with their pets. However, on this ONE day only, responsible pet owners are invited to come and spend the entire day at the cemetery with their four-legged buddies. Explore over 45 miles of paved roads throughout the 400+ developed acres of the park.
Some of our many events between 9A - 1P include Gift Basket Raffle / Guess the Treats contest / organized Dogwood Trail Walk (at 10A) / Pet Photo Keepsakes / Animal Adoptions / and LUAU PICNIC WITH YOUR POOCH - We will have picnic tables and chairs set up for you to enjoy a hot off the grill concession or bring your own picnic lunch. Concessions will be available between 11A - 1P (for a nominal charge with proceeds to dog rescue organization).
This is a Free event for the entire family. ALL PETS are required to be registered. You can print the registration form ahead of time by clicking 'Download pdf' and bring it with you or you can register your pet at the information tent during the event.
Remember - when the clock strikes 6P and the gates are closed, we will not be able to share Spring Grove with our pets until next year's Dog Day Event! For more information visit www.springgrove.org or call (513) 681-PLAN (7526).
Fred's Mission and 2nd Hand Paws will be on site with dogs who need a forever home. We ask that you bring an item on their Wish List to participate in this event :
wire crates, leashes, collars, blankets, treats and toys of any kind, puppy pads, Greenies, pill pockets chicken, True chews chicken, Clorox bleach bottles, Clorox cleaner + bleach, Travel crates, dog beds, Firehose toys, Kong toys, garbage bags, and most of all plastic bags from grocery.
